15" Rainbow caught off our dock
October 2, 2015
Mike said, "I caught a 15” rainbow off the dock at 9:00am
this morning. I used 2 pieces of corn, I caught 3, bang, bang, bang in a row of small ones then caught the rainbow! I hooked it while my nephew helped me net it."
Vibrant brown trout caught off our dock
October 1, 2015
Christa and Ronald told us, "We were sitting on the bench in the middle of the dock at 8:45pm yesterday (10/1/15) fishing with “sunrise power bait” Christa hooked the fish but was afraid she was going to lose it, so Ron reeled it in. This is the first big fish we caught and have been coming here for 13 years!"
Nice brown trout fishing Lake Taneycomo
Dean F. from SE Missouri caught and released this nice brown trout August 1, 2015 drifting on Lake Taneycomo. The lake has been running at least 3 gates average for the last few weeks. That did not keep Dean from landing this pretty brown on a worm. Dean and many others have had great success fishing Lake Taneycomo in June and July 2015. Fast or still water, Lake Taneycomo produces nice trout for those persistent fishermen who never give up!!
Great place for family reunion
The Anderson family reunion in July 2015 is a good example of the many family reunions that choose Trout Hollow Lodge to gather. The variety of activities in the area plus the fishing, boating, swimming and outdoor activities right on our property make Trout Hollow a perfect spot for families wanting to get back together for a visit.
With 26 units at the lodge from 1 room efficiencies to 3 bedroom units, all with kitchens, families of varying sizes can find a cabin just right for them. During their stay, shopping and entertainment in Branson is just a few minutes away including Bass Pro Shop and a huge Tanger Outlet Mall. The ‘tri-lakes’ of Table Rock, Taneycomo and Bull Shoals offer the combination of warm water and cold water sports.
Summer Fishing on Lake Taneycomo
Are you ready for a good time fishing for trout, covering a lot of water and scenery without even starting a motor? Floating the White River and fishing for trout became popular after Tablerock Dam was built in the late 1950’s. Trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo has become even more popular as word has spread about the size and numbers of fish caught. The cold water from the bottom of the 260’ dam creates a perfect habitat for trout and when the dam is used for power generation, ‘Lake’ Taneycomo behaves more like ‘River’ Taneycomo and it’s the perfect time to take a boat drifting down lake. Using light tackle, 4lb test line and the ever popular drift rigs (a hook, line and sinker pre-rigged as a leader) while drifting the same speed as the current with your weight and bait near the bottom is the preferred method used by many fishermen. You might get snagged a few times, but every so often what feels like a snag ends up with line movement and a really nice FISH ON.
Fun Vacation at Trout Hollow Lodge
“Fishing was the highlight but we also went into Branson to one of our fun places, Old Chicago for lunch and shopping at the
Branson Landing. We had a great time. Our condo was comfortable and had everything we needed to fix our fish fry dinner! We look forward to this trip every year. Thank you Trout Hollow”!!
